Yagyavalkya

प्रमादिनो बहिश्चित्ताः पिशुनाः कलहोत्सुकाः । संन्यासिनोऽपि दृश्यन्ते देवसंदूषिताशयाः ॥११॥

प्रमादिनः । बहिः-चित्ताः । पिशुनाः । कलह-उत्सुकाः । संन्यासिनः । अपि । दृश्यन्ते । देव-संदूषित-आशयाः ॥

pramādino bahiś-cittāḥ piśunāḥ kalahotsukāḥ | saṃnyāsino 'pi dṛśyante deva-saṃdūṣitāśayāḥ ||11||

Even among renunciants are seen the negligent, the outward-turned in mind, the slanderous, and those eager for quarrel—whose intentions are tainted by the ‘devas’, the powers and impulses of the senses.

Even among renunciants are seen the negligent, outward-minded, slanderous, eager for quarrel—those whose intentions are corrupted by ‘devas’ (i.e., sense-powers/impulses).
