द्वितीयायां समुत्क्रान्तो भवेद् यक्षो महात्मवान् । विद्याधरस्तृतीयायां गान्धर्वस्तु चतुर्थिका ॥१३॥

IAST Transliteration

dvitīyāyāṃ samutkrānto bhaved yakṣo mahātmavān | vidyādharas tṛtīyāyāṃ gāndharvas tu caturthikā ||13||

Translation

If the yogin departs from the body in the second mātrā, he becomes a Yakṣa, great-souled. In the third (mātrā) he becomes a Vidyādhara; in the fourth, a Gāndharva.

Academic Translation

If (the yogin) departs (from the body) in the second (mātrā), he becomes a Yakṣa, a great-souled one. In the third (mātrā) (he becomes) a Vidyādhara; in the fourth, a Gāndharva.
