tatsarvaṃ jāyate puṇyaṃ prāṇināmasya darśanāt | tasmādetanmahākṣetraṃ purāṇādiṣu gīyate
All that merit arises for beings merely from the darśana of this sacred place. Therefore, in the Purāṇas and other scriptures it is sung of as a great holy kṣetra.
Brahmā (deduced; Vaiṣṇavakhaṇḍa discourse style)
Tirtha: Ayodhyā-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: A threshold moment: pilgrims behold Ayodhyā’s sacred skyline/ghāṭas; the very act of seeing is shown as generating luminous merit, while sages cite Purāṇic authority.
Even simple darśana of Ayodhyā generates vast puṇya, revealing the power of sacred geography.
Ayodhyā is explicitly upheld as a mahākṣetra praised across Purāṇic literature.
The emphasis is on darśana (reverent visitation/seeing) as itself a merit-generating act.
