yā gatiryogayuktānāṃ vārāṇasyāṃ tanutyajām | sā gatiḥ snānamātreṇa sarayvāṃ harivāsare
The supreme state attained by yogins who relinquish the body in Vārāṇasī—that very state is gained merely by bathing in the Sarayū on Hari’s day.
Varāha (deduced; Vaiṣṇavakhaṇḍa context)
Tirtha: Sarayū (Ayodhyā)
Type: river
Scene: At dawn on Hari-vāsara, devotees bathe in Sarayū; above them appears a subtle vision of Vārāṇasī’s cremation-ghāṭ and yogins in samādhi, both merging into one luminous ‘gati’ symbol.
In Ayodhyā’s sphere, simple devotional acts like bathing in Sarayū can confer the highest spiritual goal.
