जन्मांतरसहस्रेण यत्पापं पूर्वसंचितम् । स्वर्गद्वारप्रविष्टस्य तत्सर्वं व्रजति क्षयम्
janmāṃtarasahasreṇa yatpāpaṃ pūrvasaṃcitam | svargadvārapraviṣṭasya tatsarvaṃ vrajati kṣayam
Whatever sin has been accumulated over thousands of births, for one who enters Svargadvāra—all of it goes to destruction.
Brahmā (deduced; Vaiṣṇavakhaṇḍa dialogue style)
Tirtha: Svargadvāra (Ayodhyā)
Type: ghat
Scene: A pilgrim crosses an auspicious boundary marker of Svargadvāra; dark smoke-like forms symbolizing sins dissolve into light, while the Sarayū glimmers behind and celestial beings shower flowers.
Entering a supremely holy tīrtha is depicted as a powerful purifier that burns vast stores of past sin.
Svargadvāra in Ayodhyā.
The act emphasized is entering/approaching the tīrtha; no additional rite is explicitly required in this verse.
