tatra snātvā mahātīrthe liṃgaṃ saṃplāvya yatnataḥ | viprebhyo dāpayedvittaṃ mucyate sarvapātakaiḥ
Having bathed there in that great tīrtha, and carefully laved the Liṅga with water, one should give wealth in charity to the brāhmaṇas—thereby one is freed from all grievous sins.
Īśvara (Śiva)
Tirtha: Rukmavatīśvara Mahā-tīrtha (associated waters)
Type: ghat
Scene: Pilgrims bathe in a sacred waterbody, then pour water over the liṅga with devotion; afterward, they offer coins, cloth, and food to brāhmaṇas seated in a row, with the sea-temple horizon of Prabhāsa behind.
Purification is completed by a triad: tīrtha-snāna, reverent service to the deity, and dāna—together framed as a path to release from sin.
The “great tīrtha” at Prabhāsa associated with the Rukmavatī-established Liṅga (Rukmavatīśvara).
Snāna in the tīrtha, careful washing/laving of the Liṅga, and giving wealth as dāna to brāhmaṇas.
