Transliteration

tatastaddarśanārthāya sa upāyaṃ vyalo kayat | dhūmadvāreṇa kāmārtaścakāra ca tataḥ param

Translation

Then, seeking a way to see her, he devised a means; tormented by desire, he proceeded further, using smoke as his pretext and instrument.
