सूत उवाच । तेषां तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा ब्राह्मणास्ते परस्परम् । मन्त्रं चक्रुस्तदर्थं हि किं कृतं सुकृतं भवेत्
sūta uvāca | teṣāṃ tadvacanaṃ śrutvā brāhmaṇāste parasparam | mantraṃ cakrustadarthaṃ hi kiṃ kṛtaṃ sukṛtaṃ bhavet
Sūta said: Hearing those words, the brāhmaṇas consulted one another and deliberated on the matter—what action, if undertaken, would become truly meritorious (sukṛta).
