vayaṃ tvāṃ tatra neṣyāmaḥ sukhopāyena bhadraka | nidhiṃ ca darśayiṣyāmaḥ śrāddhārthaṃ sumahattaram
We shall lead you there by an easy means, O good man; and we shall show you a very great treasure, meant for the śrāddha.
Preta (a departed spirit) speaking on behalf of a group (“we”)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A group of guides promises a virtuous man an easy passage to a sacred place and reveals a great hidden treasure explicitly reserved for śrāddha rites.
When one commits to dharmic duty like śrāddha, providential help is depicted as arising to support the rite.
The destination remains the Gayāśira tīrtha within the Hāṭakeśvara sacred region’s geography.
Support for performing śrāddha is promised, including being led to the site and being shown resources (treasure) for the rite.
