bhaviṣyati ca dīrghāyustato vaṃśadharo jayī | sārvabhaumapradhānaśca dānī yajvā ca dharmavit
And thereafter he will be long-lived—an upholder of the lineage, victorious, foremost among rulers, generous in gifts, devoted to sacrifice, and a knower of dharma.
Devī (Pārvatī)
Type: kshetra
Listener: King (rājan/nṛpaśreṣṭha)
Scene: A king receives a blessing describing the ideal dhārmic heir: long-lived, victorious, generous, and learned in dharma; the atmosphere is courtly yet sanctified by the deity’s presence.
The highest fruit of grace is dharmic excellence—victory, charity, sacrifice, and wisdom used to uphold the world.
This verse describes the boon’s outcome; it does not name the tīrtha though it belongs to a tīrtha-māhātmya chapter.
Yajña (sacrificial worship) and dāna (charity) are praised as the virtues the blessed son will embody.
