निर्विद्य भूतले शर्वः सर्वव्यापी सदा शिवः । हाटकेश्वरसंज्ञेऽस्मिन्क्षेत्रे देवः स्वयं स्थितः
nirvidya bhūtale śarvaḥ sarvavyāpī sadā śivaḥ | hāṭakeśvarasaṃjñe'sminkṣetre devaḥ svayaṃ sthitaḥ
Though all-pervading, Śarva—ever-auspicious Śiva—became, as it were, weary of the earthly realm and personally abides in this holy field known as Hāṭakeśvara.
Sūta (deduced)
Tirtha: Hāṭakeśvara
Type: kshetra
Scene: Śiva as an all-pervading cosmic presence subtly overlaying the landscape, yet also shown seated/standing near a shrine in the Hāṭakeśvara field—suggesting localized grace within universal immanence.
Even the all-pervading Lord chooses particular sacred places to be specially accessible to devotees.
Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra, presented as a place where Śiva is ‘personally present’.
None explicitly; the verse establishes the sanctity of the kṣetra as a basis for pilgrimage and worship.
