Having bowed to all those sages, standing with joined palms, he said: “By your favor, my lineage has come to prosperity.”
Mṛkaṇḍa (addressing the sages)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Mṛkaṇḍa bows to an assembly of sages, then stands with folded hands, speaking words of gratitude about his lineage’s prosperity through their grace.
Reverence and gratitude toward sages acknowledges that true welfare—personal and familial—flows from dharma and saintly grace.
Indirectly the tīrtha setting is upheld through the presence of sages near the āśrama-lake; the verse focuses on honoring them within that sacred place.
Praṇāma (prostration) and añjali (joined palms) as forms of respectful reception are indicated.
