एवमुक्त्वा स विप्रेंद्रो जगामाऽभीप्सितां दिशम् । मृकण्डोऽपि ततस्तस्य चक्रे मौंजीनिबन्धनम्

Transliteration

evamuktvā sa vipreṃdro jagāmā'bhīpsitāṃ diśam | mṛkaṇḍo'pi tatastasya cakre mauṃjīnibandhanam

Translation

Having spoken thus, that chief of brāhmaṇas went in the direction he desired. Then Mṛkaṇḍu too performed for his son the tying on of the muñja girdle—the sacred rite of initiation.
