arghyaṃ dadyātprayatnena gandhapuṣpākṣatānvitam | śaṃkarasya priye devi himācalasute śubhe | arghyamenaṃ mayā dattaṃ pratigṛhṇa namo'stu te
With care one should offer arghya accompanied by fragrance, flowers, and unbroken grains. O auspicious Goddess, beloved of Śaṅkara, daughter of Himācala—this arghya has been offered by me; accept it. Salutations to you.
Skanda (deduced; includes mantra text for arghya)
Type: kshetra
Scene: The devotee offers a shining arghya vessel filled with scented water, flowers, and akṣata before a serene Pārvatī icon; the mantra is visibly ‘spoken’ in the posture of namaskāra.
Honor offered with care and humility—asking the Goddess to accept—turns ritual into living devotion.
The verse is embedded in the Tīrthamāhātmya milieu; the focus here is the arghya-mantra rather than a named tīrtha.
Offer arghya with gandha, flowers, and akṣata, reciting the acceptance-prayer to the Goddess.
