विप्रजन्मनि तस्यैव प्रभावाद्व्याससंगमः । ततः सर्वरुतज्ञो मां प्राहार्च्यः कीटभाषया
viprajanmani tasyaiva prabhāvādvyāsasaṃgamaḥ | tataḥ sarvarutajño māṃ prāhārcyaḥ kīṭabhāṣayā
By the power of that same merit gained in a brāhmaṇa birth, I came into contact with Vyāsa. Then that venerable one—knower of every sound and speech—addressed me in the language of insects.
