ब्रह्मोवाच । नमोस्त्वनंतरूपाय नीलश्च नमोऽस्तु ते । अविज्ञातस्वरूपाय कैवल्यायामृताय च

Brahmā said: Salutations to You of endless forms; salutations to You, O Blue-Throated One. Salutations to You whose true nature is unknowable—to Liberation itself, and to the Deathless.
Brahmā
Tirtha: Kailāsa
Type: peak
Scene: Brahmā stands with folded hands, offering a profound hymn to Śiva: the Blue-Throated Lord radiates a calm, infinite presence, suggesting both form and the formless absolute; the atmosphere is luminous and still.
Śiva is praised as transcendent—of infinite forms yet ultimately beyond full comprehension—and as the very principle of liberation and deathlessness.
The praise occurs in the Kailāsa assembly context (explicitly introduced in the preceding verses).
No formal rite is prescribed; the verse itself functions as a stotra (devotional salutation) suitable for recitation.
