Sthala Purana: Colophon (iti… adhyāyaḥ) marking the closure of a chapter; no specific liṅga-sthala narrative is invoked here.

Significance: Textual śravaṇa/pāṭha merit: chapter-end colophons traditionally signal completion (pūrṇatā) and readiness for phala-śruti or continuation.

FAQs

This is a colophon marking the completion of a chapter, reminding the listener that the teaching belongs to the authoritative flow of the Śiva Mahāpurāṇa and its Vidyeśvara-saṃhitā, which centers Shaiva worship and right understanding of Śiva.

While it does not describe a practice directly, it frames the preceding chapter as part of the Vidyeśvara-saṃhitā—traditionally associated with foundational Shaiva doctrine and worship (including Linga-oriented devotion and the Saguna approach for sādhakas).

No specific rite is prescribed in this closing line; the practical takeaway is to continue śravaṇa (listening/recitation) and contemplation of the chapter’s teachings, typically supported in Shaiva practice by japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”).
