भस्म–रुद्राक्ष–शिवनाममाहात्म्य
The Greatness of Bhasma, Rudrākṣa, and the Name of Śiva
एतत्त्रयं शरीरे च यस्य तिष्ठति नित्यशः । तस्यैव दर्शनं लोके दुर्लभं पापहारकम्
etattrayaṃ śarīre ca yasya tiṣṭhati nityaśaḥ | tasyaiva darśanaṃ loke durlabhaṃ pāpahārakam
He in whose body this triad—Śiva’s Name, vibhūti, and rudrākṣa—abides constantly: his very sight in this world is rare, and it destroys sins.

Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Paśupatinātha
Sthala Purana: Not tied to a single jyotirliṅga; the teaching universalizes tīrtha-power into the Śaiva body that bears the triad (nāma, bhasma, rudrākṣa).
Significance: Darśana of a steadfast Śaiva (marked by the triad) is itself pāpa-hara; sainthood is framed as a moving tīrtha.
Type: panchakshara
It declares that a devotee who steadily bears the Shaiva triad—outer sacred observances joined to inner devotion—becomes a powerful purifier; even their darśana is said to remove sin, emphasizing sanctity through constant Shiva-oriented living.
The triad functions as visible and practical supports for Saguna Shiva devotion—preparing the body-mind as a temple for Linga-worship, reinforcing reverence, purity, and unwavering remembrance of Lord Shiva.
Maintain the Shaiva triad daily: apply bhasma (Tripuṇḍra), wear Rudrākṣa, and keep Shiva-mantra japa—especially the Pañcākṣarī ‘Om Namaḥ Śivāya’—as a constant discipline.
