Śiva-Naivedya-Grāhyatā-Nirṇayaḥ
On the Proper Acceptance and Merit of Śiva’s Consecrated Food-Offering
यद्गृहे शिवनैवेद्यप्रचारोपि प्रजायते । तद्गृहं पावनं सर्वमन्यपावनकारणम्
yadgṛhe śivanaivedyapracāropi prajāyate | tadgṛhaṃ pāvanaṃ sarvamanyapāvanakāraṇam
That house in which even the offering and distribution of Śiva-naivedya takes place—though only in a small measure—becomes wholly purifying, and itself becomes a cause for the purification of others.

Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Paśupatinātha
Sthala Purana: Household sanctification motif: where Śiva-prasāda circulates, that space becomes a purifier of others—akin to a micro-kṣetra created by devotion.
Significance: Encourages gṛhastha-bhakti: the home becomes a tīrtha-like locus through distribution of Śiva-prasāda (community uplift).
Role: nurturing
Offering: naivedya
It teaches that a home becomes spiritually sanctified when Śiva is worshipped through consecrated offerings, and that such sanctity naturally radiates outward, uplifting and purifying others as well.
Naivedya is a key act of Saguna worship—offering to Śiva (often to the Śiva-liṅga) with devotion—after which the offering becomes prasāda, embodying Śiva’s grace that purifies the worshipper and the household.
Perform Śiva-pūjā with naivedya, then reverently distribute the consecrated food as Śiva-prasāda; do so with mantra-remembrance (e.g., “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and a pure, devotional attitude.
