Bondage and Liberation: The Prakṛti–Karma Wheel and Śiva as the Transcendent Cause
शिवप्रसादात्कर्माद्यं क्रमेण स्ववशं भवेत् । कर्मारभ्य प्रकृत्यंतं यदासर्वं वशं भवेत्
śivaprasādātkarmādyaṃ krameṇa svavaśaṃ bhavet | karmārabhya prakṛtyaṃtaṃ yadāsarvaṃ vaśaṃ bhavet
By the grace of Śiva, beginning with one’s own karma, all things gradually come under one’s command. From karma onward, even up to Prakṛti itself—then indeed, everything is mastered.
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating Śiva’s teaching as preserved in the Viśveśvarasaṃhitā)
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
It teaches that Śiva’s anugraha (grace) is the decisive power by which the bound soul gains progressive mastery over karmic conditioning and, ultimately, over the pull of Prakṛti—moving toward liberation.
Linga-worship and Saguna Śiva-upāsanā are presented as concrete means to receive Śiva’s prasāda; through sustained devotion and discipline, the devotee’s karma becomes purified and the grip of Prakṛti weakens.
Regular japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with steady pūjā to the Śiva-liṅga is implied as the practical path by which Śiva’s grace gradually brings karma and the senses under control.
