Praṇava-Māhātmya and the Twofold Mantra (Sūkṣma–Sthūla) in Śaiva Sādhanā
एवं गुरुक्रमाल्लब्धं नंदीशाच्च मया पुनः । ततः परं स्वसंवेद्यं शिवे नैवानुभावितम्
evaṃ gurukramāllabdhaṃ naṃdīśācca mayā punaḥ | tataḥ paraṃ svasaṃvedyaṃ śive naivānubhāvitam
Thus I obtained this through the successive lineage of gurus, and again from Nandīśa. Beyond this, what must be directly realized within oneself cannot be made an object of narration—even with regard to Śiva.

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Role: teaching
It teaches that Shaiva wisdom is received through guru-paramparā, but the highest truth—direct realization of Śiva as Pati—must be known inwardly (svasaṃvedya) and cannot be fully expressed in words.
Linga and Saguna worship are communicable practices taught by the gurus; they purify the pashu (bound soul) and mature devotion, culminating in inner recognition of Śiva that transcends external description.
Follow guru-instruction and pursue japa and dhyāna that lead to personal realization—especially Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with disciplined worship, so the teaching becomes lived experience rather than mere recitation.
