yathāśaktyānurūpeṇa kartavyaṃ sarvadā naraiḥ | saptasvapi ca vāreṣu naraiḥ śubhaphalepsubhiḥ
Men should always perform these Śaiva duties in a manner suited to their capacity; and on all the seven days of the week as well—by those who seek auspicious results.
Sūta Gosvāmin
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Sthala Purana: Not tied to a Jyotirliṅga; it teaches yathāśakti observance and regularity across all weekdays—disciplining the bound soul (paśu) toward auspiciousness and eventual higher orientation.
Significance: Encourages steady practice rather than occasional intensity; in Siddhānta, such regulated caryā supports purification (mala-kṣaya) and receptivity to grace.
Role: nurturing
It teaches that Śiva-dharma is sustainable and compassionate: the merit of worship depends on sincerity and regularity, not on extravagance—practice should match one’s śakti (capacity) while remaining steady.
It supports consistent Saguna Śiva/Liṅga worship—daily or weekly observances—done with devotion and within one’s means, which aligns with the Vidyeśvara Saṃhitā’s practical foundations of Śaiva pūjā.
Maintain a regular routine of Śiva worship across the week—such as Liṅga-arcana, japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), and simple offerings—performed proportionate to one’s ability.
