kecitprasartuṃ pavanena sārdhamicchaṃti bhīmāḥ pramathā viyatsthāḥ | ākṣipya kecicca varāyudhāni mahā bhujaṃgāniva vainateyāḥ
Some of the terrible Pramathas, stationed in the sky, wished to rush forth along with the wind. Others, seizing their excellent weapons, darted about like Garuḍas swooping upon mighty serpents.

By portraying Śiva’s ganas as active agents of divine will, the verse supports Saguna worship: the Liṅga is revered not merely as a symbol, but as the living presence of Śiva whose śakti operates through attendants to uphold dharma and safeguard devotees.
A practical takeaway is steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with mental surrender to Śiva as Pati; if performed with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa, it aligns the seeker with Śiva’s protective grace and inner fearlessness.
