bhuvaneśi namastubhyaṃ namaste bhairavākṛte | namostu bagalāmukhyai dhūmāvatyai namonamaḥ
O Sovereign Lady of the worlds, Bhuvaneśī, I bow to You. Salutations to You who bear the Bhairava-form. Homage indeed to Bagalāmukhī; again and again, homage to Dhūmāvatī.

Mantra: भुवनेशि नमस्तुभ्यं नमस्ते भैरवाकृते । नमोस्तु बगलामुख्यै धूमावत्यै नमोनमः
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
The verse is a devotional salutation to the Goddess as the sovereign power pervading the worlds, honoring her fierce and protective manifestations; in Shaiva Siddhanta, such praise supports surrender (śaraṇāgati) to Śiva-Śakti as the gracious power that removes bonds (pāśa) and steadies the soul (paśu) toward liberation.
By invoking Bhairava-form and specific Shakti manifestations, the verse supports Saguna worship where the devotee approaches the Supreme through concrete, compassionate forms; Linga-worship is similarly a Saguna focus in the Shiva Purana, and Shakti-invocation is understood as honoring Śiva’s inseparable power (śakti) alongside the Linga.
A simple practice is repeated namaskāra-japa—reciting the verse with focused reverence as protective remembrance before Shiva puja; it can be paired with Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) application, and a calm dhyāna on Śiva-Śakti’s protective presence.
