पितृसर्ग-श्राद्धमाहात्म्य-प्रश्नः

Pitṛ-sarga and the Greatness of Śrāddha: The Inquiry

मामुवाच धर्मात्मा तेन तद्विद्यते तपः । येन त्वं बुध्यसे मां हि मुने वै ब्रह्मणस्सुतम्

māmuvāca dharmātmā tena tadvidyate tapaḥ | yena tvaṃ budhyase māṃ hi mune vai brahmaṇassutam

That righteous-souled One spoke to me: “By this, the true nature of tapas—holy austerity—becomes known; and by that tapas, O sage, you will indeed recognize and understand me as the son of Brahmā.”
