“Thus, with due reverence, Pañcacūḍa has explained to you the nature of women. O Vyāsa, the cause of dispassion has been stated—what more do you still wish to hear?”
Suta Goswami (narrating the puranic dialogue and concluding the point addressed to Vyasa)
Tattva Level: pashu
It marks a turning point where worldly fascination is framed as a bond (pāśa) and the “cause of dispassion” is highlighted—urging the seeker to move from sense-based attachment toward Shiva-oriented discernment and liberation.
By emphasizing vairāgya, it indirectly supports Saguna Shiva worship (Linga-pūjā) as a practical discipline: devotion becomes steady when the mind loosens its grip on worldly objects and turns toward Shiva as Pati, the liberating Lord.
The takeaway is cultivation of vairāgya alongside daily Shiva sadhana—japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), simple Linga worship with vibhūti (tripuṇḍra), and mindful restraint of the senses.
