It honors a higher divine realm identified with Kumāra (Skanda), portraying how Śiva’s grace manifests as luminous leadership that protects dharma and guides devotees upward toward purity and liberation.
Skanda is presented as Śambhu’s son—an expression of Saguna Śiva’s power. Reverence to Skanda ultimately points back to Śiva as Pati (the Lord), whose manifested forms support devotees on the path to Śiva-realization.
Contemplate Śiva together with his divine commander (Skanda) while repeating the Panchākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” cultivating courage, discipline, and devotion—qualities symbolized by Senānī Skanda.
