द्वादशज्योतिर्लिङ्गावतारकथनम्
Account of the Twelve Jyotirliṅga Manifestations
भक्ताभीष्टप्रदो ज्ञेयो योपि दृष्टोर्चितो मुने । ज्योतिर्लिंगे महादिव्ये वर्णिते ते महामुने
bhaktābhīṣṭaprado jñeyo yopi dṛṣṭorcito mune | jyotirliṃge mahādivye varṇite te mahāmune
O sage, know that whoever—even by merely beholding and worshipping—that supremely divine Jyotirliṅga of which you have been speaking, O great seer, attains the grace by which the devotees’ cherished wishes are fulfilled.

Sthala Purana: General phalaśruti for the Jyotirliṅga being described: mere darśana and arcana confer fulfillment of cherished wishes through Śiva’s grace.

Type: stotra
Role: liberating
Offering: pushpa
It teaches that Shiva’s Jyotirliṅga is a direct locus of grace: mere darśana (beholding) and arcana (worship) invoke Shiva’s compassion, through which devotees obtain their cherished aims and are drawn toward liberation.
The Jyotirliṅga is Shiva’s luminous presence made accessible for worship; by honoring the Liṅga (a saguna mode for practice), the devotee connects to Shiva’s transcendent light (nirguna reality) expressed through a worshipable form.
Perform Jyotirliṅga darśana and simple pūjā—offering water, bilva leaves, and repeating the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with bhakti—since the verse emphasizes seeing and worshipping as efficacious acts.
