“I shall also speak of Kṛṣṇa—he will render you assistance. Indeed, he is as My very self, a devotee of Mine, and a capable accomplisher of the task.”
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahadeva
The verse presents divine help as arising through Shiva’s grace working via a devoted instrument; Kṛṣṇa is described as “ātmabhūta” (as Shiva’s own), showing the Shaiva view that the Lord empowers true devotees to accomplish dharmic purposes.
By calling Kṛṣṇa “mad-bhaktaḥ,” the verse reinforces Saguna Shiva devotion: worship of Shiva (including Linga-upāsanā) culminates in Shiva’s active protection and guidance, often through appointed agents who carry out his will.
The takeaway is steadfast bhakti and reliance on Shiva’s grace—practically expressed through daily japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and disciplined worship (e.g., Tripuṇḍra/bhasma and rudrākṣa as Shaiva marks), cultivating receptivity to divine assistance.
