ऋषभचरित्रवर्णनम् (Ṛṣabha-caritra-varṇanam) — “Account of Ṛṣabha’s Sacred Narrative”
मर्नोर्वैवस्वतस्यैव ते प्रपुत्रो भविष्यति । तदा चतुर्युगाश्चैव तस्मिन्मन्वन्तरे विधे
marnorvaivasvatasyaiva te praputro bhaviṣyati | tadā caturyugāścaiva tasminmanvantare vidhe
O Vidhe, Creator, you shall become the great-grandson of Vaivasvata Manu; and in that very Manvantara, the cycle of the four Yugas will proceed in due order.

Tattva Level: pashu
Cosmic Event: Manvantara chronology under Vaivasvata Manu; caturyuga rotation (dharma’s cyclical regulation)
It places the narrative within sacred cosmic time (Manvantara and Yuga), reminding devotees that worldly epochs change, while the Shaiva goal—turning to Pati (Shiva) for liberation—transcends all cycles.
By anchoring events in a specific Manvantara, it frames Saguna Shiva’s manifest play (līlā) within time, while implying that Linga-worship points to Shiva as the timeless reality beyond Yugas.
Contemplate Shiva as Kāla-kāla (the Lord beyond time) while doing japa of the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—to stabilize devotion amid changing Yugas.
