From her womb emerged the embryo of that supreme sage—radiant, bearing a greatly divine body, and shining forth so as to illumine the ten directions.

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: creative
Cosmic Event: tejas-udaya: a luminous manifestation illuminating the ten directions
The verse highlights the hallmark of a Shiva-born manifestation: a luminous, divinely embodied presence that dispels ignorance (darkness) in all directions—symbolizing Shiva’s grace revealing consciousness and auspiciousness to the world.
The ‘divine radiant body’ points to Saguna Shiva—Shiva approachable through form and light. In Linga worship, devotees similarly contemplate Shiva as the self-effulgent reality (jyoti) that pervades and illumines all directions, while the Linga serves as the grounded icon for that infinite radiance.
Meditate on Shiva as inner light filling the ten directions while repeating the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya); optionally apply Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) as a reminder that worldly darkness is transient and Shiva’s radiance alone is enduring.
