गिलासुर-आक्रमणम् तथा शिवसैन्य-समाह्वानम् — The Assault of Gila and Śiva’s Mobilization
भूतानि चान्यानि सुदारुणानि देवान्ससैन्यान्सह विष्णुमुख्यान् । आहूतमात्रानुगणास्ससैन्या रथैर्गजैर्वाजिवृषैश्च गोभिः
bhūtāni cānyāni sudāruṇāni devānsasainyānsaha viṣṇumukhyān | āhūtamātrānugaṇāssasainyā rathairgajairvājivṛṣaiśca gobhiḥ
And other dread and ferocious beings too—along with the gods and their armies, with Viṣṇu and the foremost among them—came forth the moment they were summoned. Those attendant hosts arrived with their forces, furnished with chariots, elephants, horses, bulls, and even cattle.

It shows the swift mobilization of cosmic forces—Devas and fierce beings—when called, highlighting that all powers and hosts function within a higher divine order; in Shaiva understanding, such might is secondary to devotion and surrender to the Supreme Lord (Pati).
The verse emphasizes external power (armies, mounts, weapons of movement). Linga/Saguna-Shiva worship redirects the seeker from reliance on worldly or celestial strength to steady refuge in Shiva’s manifest grace, which alone grants protection and liberation.
A practical takeaway is to cultivate immediate remembrance at the ‘moment of need’ through japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), supported by Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as aids to unwavering Shaiva focus.
