मदाज्ञया भवद्धर्मो विस्तारं यास्यति ध्रुवम् । मदनुज्ञापरो नित्यं गतिं प्राप्स्यसि मामकीम्
madājñayā bhavaddharmo vistāraṃ yāsyati dhruvam | madanujñāparo nityaṃ gatiṃ prāpsyasi māmakīm
“By My command, your righteous path (dharma) will surely spread and flourish. Ever devoted to My permission and ordinance, you shall attain My own state—the supreme destination that belongs to Me.”
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: liberating
The verse highlights Shiva’s anugraha (liberating grace): when one aligns with Shiva’s ājñā, dharma expands outward and the soul is led toward Shiva’s own supreme gati—liberation through the Lord’s sanction.
Obedience to Shiva’s ordinance is expressed through disciplined Saguna worship—reverence to the Shiva-Linga, daily pūjā, mantra-japa, and right conduct—through which Shiva’s grace matures devotion into realization of His highest state.
A practical takeaway is steady Panchākṣarī japa (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with sincere vow-keeping and daily Shiva worship (including bhasma/Tripuṇḍra and rudrākṣa where traditional), done in the spirit of following Shiva’s ājñā.
