Sanatkumara
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
It highlights Śiva as Maheśvara—the supreme Lord whose will (ājñā) becomes the guiding force for his gaṇas. In Shaiva understanding, aligning oneself with the Lord’s command and purpose leads to auspiciousness and inner upliftment (harṣa), even amid conflict.
The verse depicts Saguna Śiva—Maheśvara acting in the world, leading and protecting his devotees. Linga-worship similarly approaches Śiva as the accessible Lord who responds to devotion and upholds dharma, while remaining the transcendent reality behind all action.
A practical takeaway is to cultivate obedience to Śiva through daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") and disciplined worship (with bhasma/Tripuṇḍra and rudrākṣa if one follows those observances), so that one’s actions ‘follow’ the Lord’s intent like the vīragaṇas following Maheśvara.
