सनत्कुमार उवाच । तस्य तद्वाक्यमाकर्ण्य सुरराट् ततः । सक्रोधः प्राह गिरिशो वीरभद्रादिकान्गणान्
sanatkumāra uvāca | tasya tadvākyamākarṇya surarāṭ tataḥ | sakrodhaḥ prāha giriśo vīrabhadrādikāngaṇān
Sanatkumāra said: Hearing those words, the Lord of the gods thereupon—Giriśa (Śiva)—with rising wrath, addressed the gaṇas beginning with Vīrabhadra.
Sanatkumara
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
The verse highlights Saguna Śiva’s role as the Lord who actively restores dharma through His gaṇas; His ‘wrath’ signifies righteous, purposeful divine energy, not ego-driven anger, aligning with Shaiva Siddhanta’s view of Śiva as Pati who governs and protects.
It frames Śiva as Giriśa—the personal Lord who responds within history; Linga-worship honors this same Śiva as both transcendent and immanent, whose grace can manifest as protective action through His attendants like Vīrabhadra.
A practical takeaway is to steady the mind with japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and cultivate devotion to Śiva as protector; when facing conflict, remember divine action is grounded in dharma and surrender rather than personal agitation.
