अध्याय १७ — देवपलायनं, विष्णोः प्रतियुद्धं, जलंधरक्रोधः
Devas’ Rout, Viṣṇu’s Counterattack, and Jalandhara’s Wrath
धनुषं शार्ङ्गनामानं विस्फूर्य्य विननाद ह । तस्य नादेन त्रैलोक्यं पूरितं महता मुने
dhanuṣaṃ śārṅganāmānaṃ visphūryya vinanāda ha | tasya nādena trailokyaṃ pūritaṃ mahatā mune
He twanged the bow named Śārṅga and let out a mighty roar; O sage, by that thunderous sound the entire three worlds were filled.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Naṭarāja
Role: liberating
The verse highlights how divine power expresses itself as nāda (cosmic sound) that pervades the three worlds, reminding the devotee that the Lord’s presence and authority are not merely physical but all-pervading and transformative.
Though the scene describes a martial moment, it points to Saguna divinity—God with attributes—whose manifest energies (sound, force, command) inspire bhakti and surrender; in Shaiva practice, such awe matures into steadiness in Linga-worship and remembrance of Shiva as the supreme Pati beyond all worlds.
Meditate on nāda as sacred vibration—quietly japa the Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” letting its resonance fill the inner worlds, and stabilize the mind in devotion (bhakti) rather than agitation.
