Cosmic Event: Cosmic functions (utpatti–vṛddhi–saṃhāra) invoked as a metaphysical frame rather than a dated event.
It presents Shiva’s mantra as a cosmic principle: through sound (mantra-śakti) the universe arises, is sustained, and is withdrawn—pointing to Shiva as Pati, the ultimate cause, and mantra-japa as a direct means to receive His grace.
In Saguna worship, the Linga is the stable form for devotion, while mantra is the subtle form of Shiva’s presence; this verse elevates mantra as an operative power behind the visible cosmos, harmonizing external Linga-pūjā with inner japa.
Regular mantra-japa with focused remembrance of Shiva—ideally alongside simple Shaiva observances like Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa—emphasizing steady repetition and contemplative absorption.
