That Reality is free from shortness and length, untouched by lightness or heaviness. In It there is no increase whatsoever, and likewise no decrease at all.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Type: stotra
It points to Shiva as the supreme, changeless Pati—beyond measurable attributes—indicating that the highest Reality is not subject to growth, decay, or material limitation, and is realized through inner knowledge and grace.
The Liṅga serves as a sacred symbol of the formless, attribute-transcending Shiva described here; Saguna worship (form, ritual, mantra) becomes a gateway to contemplate and realize the Nirguna truth that is beyond all physical measures.
Meditate on Shiva as immutable and beyond opposites while repeating the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”); let external worship (Liṅga pūjā, bhasma, rudrākṣa) support steady inner absorption in the changeless Pati.
