शिवागमन-नाद-समागमः (Śiva’s Advent, the Drum-Sound, and the Cosmic Assembly)
अथ शम्भुः प्रमुदितो हरिप्रार्थनया तदा
atha śambhuḥ pramudito hariprārthanayā tadā
Then Śambhu became greatly pleased at that time, moved by Hari’s prayer.
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating the Purāṇic account to the sages)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
It highlights that Śiva, the compassionate Pati (Lord), responds to sincere bhakti and humility—devotional prayer becomes the bridge by which grace descends and auspiciousness (śambhutva) is revealed.
Śambhu being ‘pleased’ indicates Saguna Śiva’s accessible, responsive aspect: through prayer and reverence (as Hari exemplifies), devotees approach Śiva in worship—often centered on the Liṅga as the sacred focus of devotion and grace.
The takeaway is heartfelt stuti and japa: offer prayer with surrender, and support it with daily Panchākṣarī mantra japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and simple Śiva-pūjā (water/abhisheka), cultivating the attitude that pleases Śambhu.
