शिवागमन-नाद-समागमः (Śiva’s Advent, the Drum-Sound, and the Cosmic Assembly)
शशास विश्वकर्माणं निर्माणार्थं गिरौ प्रभुः । नानाभक्तैर्निवासाय स्वपरेषां यथोचितम्
śaśāsa viśvakarmāṇaṃ nirmāṇārthaṃ girau prabhuḥ | nānābhaktairnivāsāya svapareṣāṃ yathocitam
Then the Lord commanded Viśvakarmā to build upon the mountain, creating dwellings for the many devotees—each suited as was proper for oneself and for others.
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating the Rudra Saṃhitā account to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
It shows Śiva as Pati (the sovereign Lord) who arranges the outer sacred order—spaces for devotees—so that inner devotion (bhakti) can mature in a fitting, harmonious environment.
By commissioning proper dwellings and sacred settings, the narrative supports Saguna worship: devotees approach Śiva through established forms, places, and disciplines that make Linga-worship steady and respectful.
Create a clean, dedicated worship space (śuddha-sthāna) for daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and simple Linga-pūjā; the verse emphasizes orderly preparation as part of devotion.
