Kubera too, having come before Śambhu, worshipped Him with great reverence—full of devotion, offering many kinds of gifts and services, accompanied by his attendants.

It shows that even Kubera, the lord of wealth, approaches Śiva with humility and bhakti—teaching that devotion (not status or riches) is the true means to gain Śiva’s grace.
The verse highlights saguna-upāsanā—reverent pūjā with upahāras (offerings). In Śaiva practice this is commonly expressed as Liṅga-pūjā with respectful upacāras offered in devotion.
Perform Śiva-pūjā with sincere devotion and proper upacāras; inwardly, maintain bhakti-bhāva while repeating the Pañcākṣarī mantra ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") as the core contemplative practice.
