Nārada’s Austerities Described
शिवेच्छा यादृशी लोके भवत्येव हि सा तदा । तदधीनं जगत्सर्वं वचस्तंत्यांत स्थितं यतः
śivecchā yādṛśī loke bhavatyeva hi sā tadā | tadadhīnaṃ jagatsarvaṃ vacastaṃtyāṃta sthitaṃ yataḥ
Whatever Śiva’s will becomes in the world, exactly so it comes to be. For the entire universe depends upon Him, since it stands established at the end of the thread of His command—His governing Word.

It declares Śiva as Pati—the supreme Lord whose icchā (will) sustains and directs all cosmic order; recognizing this leads to humility, surrender, and liberation-oriented devotion.
The Liṅga is worshipped as the visible support of the invisible Lord; by worshipping Saguna Śiva through the Liṅga, the devotee aligns with Śiva’s will that governs the entire jagat.
Japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with contemplation that all events rest on Śiva’s command; offer actions mentally to Śiva (īśvara-arpana) as a daily discipline.
