Devas’ Hymn: Śiva as Parabrahman, Māyā-Śakti, and Giver of Karmic Fruits
भवता हि जगत्सर्वं व्याप्तं स्वेनैव तेजसा । परब्रह्म निर्विकारी चिदानंदःप्रकाशवान्
bhavatā hi jagatsarvaṃ vyāptaṃ svenaiva tejasā | parabrahma nirvikārī cidānaṃdaḥprakāśavān
Truly, by You this entire universe is pervaded through Your own splendour. You are the Supreme Brahman—unchanging—self-luminous as Consciousness and Bliss.
Sati (addressing Lord Shiva)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Mantra: bhavatā hi jagatsarvaṃ vyāptaṃ svenaiva tejasā | parabrahma nirvikārī cidānaṃdaḥprakāśavān
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: teaching
It identifies Shiva as Parabrahman—unchanging, self-luminous Consciousness-Bliss—showing that liberation comes from recognizing Shiva as the inner pervader of all, not merely a limited deity.
Though Shiva is described as nirvikāra and all-pervading (nirguṇa sense), the Linga serves as a saguna support for devotion, helping the devotee contemplate the same self-luminous Parabrahman present in all.
Meditate on Shiva as cidānanda (pure awareness and bliss) while repeating the Panchākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—and offer simple Linga worship (water, bilva) as an outer aid to inner recognition.
