FAQs

It declares Śaṅkara (Pati) as the final refuge across the three worlds; when one turns against Shiva, one cuts oneself off from grace and protection, and karma becomes inescapable.

The verse emphasizes seeking shelter in Śaṅkara as the accessible Lord; in practice this is approached through Saguna worship—especially the Śiva-liṅga as the compassionate, worship-worthy form through which the devotee receives protection and purification.

Take refuge through daily Śiva-bhakti: japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), respectful avoidance of Śiva-apacāra (offense), and steady worship of the liṅga with humility as the core inner discipline.
