दक्षयज्ञे मुनिदेवसमागमः / The Gathering of Sages and Gods at Dakṣa’s Sacrifice
दीक्षायुक्तस्तदा दक्षः कृतकौतुकमंगलः । भार्यया सहितो रेजे कृतस्वस्त्ययनो भृशम्
dīkṣāyuktastadā dakṣaḥ kṛtakautukamaṃgalaḥ | bhāryayā sahito reje kṛtasvastyayano bhṛśam
Then Dakṣa, having received dīkṣā (ritual initiation) and having had the auspicious protective rites and celebratory ceremonies performed, shone forth exceedingly—accompanied by his wife and fully secured by blessings for well-being.

The verse highlights how outer ritual purity—dīkṣā, svasti blessings, and auspicious rites—can make a person appear radiant, yet in Shaiva understanding such splendor is secondary to inner devotion to Pati (Śiva), the true giver of auspiciousness.
By emphasizing dīkṣā and maṅgala rites, it reflects the Purāṇic culture in which Saguna-Śiva worship (often centered on the Liṅga) is approached through consecration, protective vows, and blessings—ritual supports meant to orient the mind toward Śiva’s grace.
It points to dīkṣā (formal consecration) and svasti/maṅgala rites for well-being; as a Shaiva takeaway, one may pair such auspicious observances with japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” to internalize the rite as devotion.
