मम स्वामी शिवो यो हि स जातो ब्रह्मणस्तुतः । रुद्रनामा पूर्णरूपावतारः परमात्मनः
mama svāmī śivo yo hi sa jāto brahmaṇastutaḥ | rudranāmā pūrṇarūpāvatāraḥ paramātmanaḥ
My Lord is Shiva, who manifested and was praised by Brahmā. He is called Rudra—the complete and perfect incarnation of the Supreme Self (Paramātman).
Sati (speaking about Shiva to Daksha/assembly contextually within Satīkhaṇḍa narration as relayed by Suta)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
Mantra: mama svāmī śivo yo hi sa jāto brahmaṇastutaḥ | rudranāmā pūrṇarūpāvatāraḥ paramātmanaḥ
Type: stotra
It declares Shiva—known here as Rudra—as the full manifestation of the Paramātman, affirming that devotion to Shiva is devotion to the Supreme Reality, not a lesser deity.
By identifying Rudra as the complete-form avatāra of the Supreme, it supports Saguna worship (such as Linga worship) as a valid, grace-giving approach to realize the Nirguna Supreme.
The takeaway is steadfast Rudra-bhakti—praise (stuti) and remembrance of Shiva as Rudra/Paramātman—commonly expressed through japa of Shiva’s names and the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya).
