Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahadeva
The verse highlights bhakti expressed through seva (reverent service): feeding, comforting, and honoring Śiva with ritual propriety. In a Śaiva Siddhānta lens, such devoted conduct purifies the pashu (individual soul) and aligns it toward the grace of Pati (Śiva).
The actions described—offering food, performing ācamana, and presenting tāmbūla—mirror standard upacāras (services) used in Saguna Śiva worship, including Liṅga pūjā. It reflects the Purāṇic emphasis that loving, orderly offerings cultivate intimacy with the manifest Lord.
It suggests maintaining ritual purity through ācamana after eating and concluding worship/hospitality with respectful offerings like tāmbūla. Practically, it points to disciplined, mindful upacāra in Śiva pūjā (alongside mantra-japa such as the Pañcākṣarī, where applicable).
