मेनायाः क्रोध-विलापः — Menā’s Lament and Reproach
to the Sage
आब्रह्मस्तम्बपर्यंतं यत्किञ्चिद्दृश्यते जगत् । तत्सर्वं च शिवं विद्धि नात्र कार्या विचारणा
ābrahmastambaparyaṃtaṃ yatkiñciddṛśyate jagat | tatsarvaṃ ca śivaṃ viddhi nātra kāryā vicāraṇā
From Brahmā down to a blade of grass, whatever is seen as this universe—know all of that to be Śiva alone; here there is no need for further deliberation.
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Type: stotra
Role: teaching
It teaches Śiva-darśana: the disciplined recognition that everything appearing in the cosmos—from the highest deity-form to the smallest life—is pervaded and owned by Śiva (Pati), dissolving fear, hatred, and separative ego.
Linga-worship trains the mind to see one Supreme Reality behind all names and forms; this verse extends that insight outward—after worshiping Saguna Śiva in the Linga, the devotee learns to perceive the same Śiva in the whole jagat.
Practice Shiva-bhāvanā in japa and meditation: while repeating the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), contemplate that whatever you perceive is Śiva’s presence, and offer each perception mentally as an upacāra to Him.
