sthāvaraṃ jaṃgamaṃ sarvaṃ sadṛśantairmanoharam | sarvato'dbhutasarvatvaṃ nānāvastucamatkṛtam

It trains the devotee to perceive the entire moving and unmoving cosmos as a wondrous, harmonious manifestation under Shiva’s lordship (Pati), turning ordinary perception into devotion and leading the mind toward liberation.
The Linga is the sacred focus through which one learns to recognize Shiva’s presence everywhere; this verse supports Saguna contemplation—seeing all forms as held within Shiva—while pointing to the underlying all-pervading reality beyond particular forms.
A simple practice is Shiva-anusandhāna (contemplation of Shiva everywhere): after japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” mentally offer the seen world—moving and unmoving—as a flower-offering to the Linga, cultivating reverence and non-dual devotion.
