FAQs

The verse presents the cosmic harmony of Śiva–Śakti union: even the ‘mountain-lords’ (symbols of stability and dharma) rejoice, indicating that the divine marriage restores auspicious order and supports the devotee’s path toward grace (anugraha) and liberation.

The narrative celebrates Saguna Śiva’s līlā in the world—His approachable, relational form—through which devotees cultivate bhakti; this devotion naturally matures toward the deeper realization of Śiva’s supreme nature, which the Liṅga signifies as the transcendent reality.

The practical takeaway is joyful devotional participation: commemorate Śiva–Pārvatī vivāha with mantra-japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), simple pūjā, and sattvic celebration, aligning one’s mind with auspiciousness and devotion.
